What is SIES Alumni all about?

The SIES Alumni portal is devoted to helping you get in touch with your SIES batch-mates, extend your business network and communicate with your friends. You can also find interesting people and connect with them, through common interests which you didn’t when you were at SIES.  

 Can any one join the SIES Alumni portal?

Users have to be ex-students/alumni of SIES. You cannot invite people who are not an alumnus of SIES.

 How do I create my own account?

To join the SIES Alumni simple log on to www.siesalumni.net , register yourself. After doing so you will receive an email on the email id provided by you. Once the admin functionalities are done you can start using the SIES Alumni portal.

 How do I get in touch with my friends?

After logging in simply click on ‘Invite Friends’. Enter you friends first name, last name and their email id, they will then receive an invitation on their email id provided by you. Once the admin functionalities are done your friend   can start using the SIES Alumni portal.

You can also fill in the name of the person you are looking for in the left panel and search. You will then get results on the same.

 Can I know the member lists who have signed up?

Just click on the link titled ‘Network’ you can view the list of members who have already joined in, the list is segregated according to the SIES institutions.

 How do I put a photo on my homepage?

Click on ‘Edit Profile’ after doing so click on ‘Upload Your Image’. You will then have to simply browse and select the image you want to upload, enter a caption and you have successfully uploaded your image. Kindly note you can upload 5 images max.   

 The photo I am trying to upload is not uploading, what could be the  possible reason?

If you are having problems with loading a photo the likely causes are:

1. The photo exceeds the 2000K size (you can check the size in MS operating systems by clicking right and selecting properties from the drop down menu). Use a photo manipulation package (e.g. Paint) to reduce the file size.

2. The photo is not a JPEG, JPG, GIF (non-animated), BMP or PNG format file. Use a photo manipulation package (e.g. Paint) to load the photograph and store it in a suitable format.

3. The filename contains unacceptable characters (perhaps spaces or non alphanumeric symbols). Try changing the filename to a simple one.

 Can I make changes to my profile?

Yes you can! You can edit your personal, professional and image details. Click on ‘Edit Profile’ on the left panel and edit the categories of your choice.
